No letter distortion, no split serifs, no division lines; not a DDO.

Ok thanks everyone, I am still looking for that first real DD. This one might be a lighting problem. What do you recommend for lighting?. I am using a 10mp nikon camera and a 10x loupe for the pictures and I also use a 60x loupe for those close ups. I have a new microscope on its way to me in the mail. Maybe that will help. I appreciate everyones replys, thats the only way I can learn. So thank you again everyone.

Try eliminating the loupe. It was hard for me to get focused shots with a loupe. Take a good focused shot with your camera (macro setting) and crop it. With 10 mp you can crop close enough for detail. A little tripod helps also.

Sorry I am not seeing any doubling either. I made these same mistakes in my early collecting days. When you come across real doubling it will be unmistakable.

Hard to tell with the pics but I would say Die Deterioration is what you are seeing...Its in good condition for a 1982....i'd keep it regardless. So which one is it? I'm gonna guess 1982P Large Date Copper :)

I don't see any sign of Die Deterioration from the pics posted.
