Is This A Long Die Crack? (Nickle)

This nickle has a raised piece of medal that looks like what I would guess is a die crack, but it is really straight which I find weird. The spot I am speaking of runs from between In and God all the way to the middle of neck below the jaw line. All help is appreciated on what this might be.

I don't think so. I think it is a cut in the coin that has raised the metal on one side.

Thanks for your opinion Conder. I have looked at it closely and I don't think it is a cut, but it might be. The medal just seems to be raised and there does not look to be lower points on either side of the raise.

Angled cuts can create vertical displacement of metal on the surface of a coin.

From this picture, it looks like a cut to me.

I think it is a cut also...you can see it affects the rim of the coin as well. I think a crack wouldn't affect the rim.
