Did box 13 of nickles today and poped out my second buffalo, first with date. I think it is probably VG10 and pushing F12, but was wondering what your opinions of this 1927 is.

Very cool find! On those rare occasions when a Buffalo shows up in change or rolls it is almost always a 1936 or 1937. Finding a full-date coin from the 20's has got to be a hundred times less likely. Congrats!

I agree with the OP's assessment. It's a VG-10. I think it just misses fine because the last few letters of LIBERTY are moving right into the obverse rim. It also just misses fine if you use the "grade as a whole" methodology some use with buffalos because the reverse is lacking too much head and upper back detail.

I also like it at F-12, could be a VG though, there is a lot of wear, but 1920's coins are generally weaker strikes.
