Well RBC was a no go... no mint rolls insight and they said you can't really get them there. I'm bummed, anyone have anymore ideas on getting current year currency at FV in a mint roll?

You can order them directly from the Winnipeg Mint, but the caveat is that you have to buy a whole box!

Quote: wow, I'm sorry smallcentguy. It was actually SPP-ottawa that I was going to ask about the 1952 rolls or any BU rolls, and where to get them That depends on who you know, the supply chain and usually a whole lot of luck of being at the right place, at the right time. I bought a lot of 5 BU 1949 rolls at a coin auction in 2009. My 1952 rolls came from a coin hoarder collection. My 1939 rolls were bought from a coin show dealer, and my most recent 1950 roll was an ebay purchase. George VI rolls don't come to you, you have to find them, and they sometimes don't come cheap, and they sometimes have already been cherry-picked for grades (but I don't care, I buy them for variety hunting).

I bet the shipping of a box of pennys would cost a mint... lol. It would just be nice to get a few rolls each year at FV :(. I dont like paying $2 a roll for 2011's.

SPP - How do you go about ordering rolls from the Winnipeg Mint? Do you order from the directly or do your order them through your local bank? Also, do you have to pay any premium for ordering them?
Thanks!

Well Called the Winnipeg mint and you can like SPP said order a box of pennies but its rather expensive. $25 for a Box + $1 for the Rolling Plastic + $35 Administration fee + $100 for shipping. A little to steep for me lol.

I have some 1967 BU Canadian pennies if anyone's interested....3 rolls to be exact....:)
CIBC also seems to have a lot of mint rolls too. Went to a local branch and got 3 mint rolls of nickels, 95 x 2 and 99 x 1 and she would've sold me a bundle of 2011 pennies too, but that's not what I'm looking for exactly.

Sorry. Wasn't really interested in selling them. Have a few outside of the rolls that I'm not doing anything with. Not gonna split hairs. Won't mention it again.

I picked up a box of 2010 and a box of 2011 cents at my local CIBC. I am sure they would have sold me individual rolls if I asked. That was all they had, no other denominations.
