Hey, I was just wondering how someone would get mint rolls from the current year without pay premium prices online. My first thought would be the bank but how would this work? anyone currently get them from a bank if so which bank and when can you get the new coins (like 2012 ones).
Thanks,

if you go to the mint.ca you can get the new quarters for face value. I think you missed the toonies and loonis

Doesn't Royal Bank still do the fresh rolls? They used to be the bank that was picked to get the new coins out into circulation, maybe things have changed. Maybe someone else knows, I get them from a dealer friend at face when I want them and I've not looked into it much lately.

Just ask at any bank or grocery stores. Don't think you'll find 2012's yet, but in a month or so you should be able to. Be friendly and I am sure someone will help you out. For 2011 I had to break open quite a few rolls to find a nice nickel.

ok, smallcent you said to bring the topic here... I was wondering where you get older rolls of pennies... like you mentioned in the other thread that you got 4 rolls of BU 1952>?

Hmm...I am a little confused on the 4 rolls of 1952s.... Maybe some crossed wires? I have picked up some 50s rolls off ebay but not 1952. I have seen some early BU rolls in some of the auctions as well. Getting George VI BU rolls would not be inexpensive.

wow, I'm sorry smallcentguy. It was actually SPP-ottawa that I was going to ask about the 1952 rolls or any BU rolls, and where to get them

Hey, You can look at J&M Coins for BU Rolls.. 1955 to present are fairly low priced. I place on purchasing them over the next few months.

For special coin rolls (Example: Parks Canada Loonie) you can get them at RBC. For normal circulating coin rolls also try RBC, but they always go there randomly. The 50 cent rolls are sold on mint.ca

J&M does have good prices on their rolls but at 10$ per roll for shipping it doesn't make them such a good deal anymore. There are deals to be found out there depending on the years youre looking for

I'm planing to pay rolls from 1960-2010 and will do it in a few orders. I think its $10 shipping no matter what you get so It won't be to bad. I really want rolls from the 50's as well but they are much more expensive.

Get a few more posts and message me. I have extras in almost every year from the 50s to date full BUC rolls :)
