Hello,
I am trying to identify this coin. It is presumably from Eastern Europe, but I don't know what country. On one side is a coat of arms, similar to the Serbian coat of arms but with a different shield. On the bottom it says 925 on the left and ZN or ZM on the right.

On the opposite side is a biblical scene depicting Jesus and three others (not sure what this scene is). Above Jesus' head, under a cross, is inscribed IC XC, a common notation for Jesus' name in Eastern Orthodox countries. This has a bar above it. On the bottom right is an M.

I have been struggling to identify it because there's no writing on it. If anyone has any expertise in Eastern European coins or can point me in the right direction I would appreciate the help!

Here are some photos- sorry about the poor quality, but my description above should clear up anything you can't see clearly in the pics.

Hello and welcome.

It's not a "coin", in the sense of being officially issued by a government somewhere for use as money or with a legal tender value. It's a medal of some kind. The question is, from who or where.

The cross at the bottom of the shield is definitely Serbian, which helps to narrow down the origin. This Wikipedia article shows a coat of arms that looks identical to the one on this medal; the arms are the emblem of the Patriarchate of the Serbian Orthodox church.

I would assume it was issued as a religious souvenir from the main cathedral in Belgrade.

As with most "religious medals", narrowing down a date could be difficult. These medals could well have been sold over several decades, though I suspect it dates from after the collapse of communism in Yugoslavia.

Thanks a lot- I appreciate it! Good to know where it's from and what the coat of arms is!
