Hummmm, seeing some things that I'm not sure about. Is this your coin? Or are you looking to buy it? If your looking to buy this coin,I would ask the seller for closer, brighter more detailed pictures from around the star and dentical areas. If the seller does not comply,I would pass it up.

A potential buy, which is why I posted the picture. I'm not sure either, but I am certainly not an expert. The "darkness" alone had me leary. I have not asked for more pics but I can. I have not had enough exposure to any series to know exactly what to look for....

Thanks, I will post new pics if they are provided.

Tights24, I hope you don't mind, I fixed up the pics a little. Lightened and sharpened them a little.

Absolutely not. I am at work, so besides taking about 2 hours to make one change in photoshop until I get used to it, I didn't have time to try....lolol

Thank you Dad.

I'm worried about the 5th left star, and the denticles under the 0 in the date. Assuming you're comfortable with the seller, I don't think I'd go so far as high EF-low AU money for it.

Maybe this is something for one of the new moderators to figure out. Not sure why my pics aren't posting. I don't think I did anything different than any other time.....

Thanks Superdave. For some reason it's just not liking something and I still can't figure it out. I will just post links instead.

Spaces in the filenames? The first pics had underlines instead of spaces.

I'm seeing a number of thing on this coin I don't like.I won't make a judgment call on it without seeing it in hand or very good pictures but my advice is to pass it by.

I am likewise suspicious of this 90CC. While it's in the neighborhood of lower EF (maybe even VF-35), it appears a little too clean, too even in its appearance, even if it is a scan instead of a photo. I don't know what guarantees or return policy or feedback the seller has offered, but I'd also be inclined to pass on it. I've been shopping especially for 90CC Morgans for the past couple months (buy, slab, sell, make $$$) and I've been having a particularly hard time finding one that isn't a problem. I've passed on many which obviously or likely had problems, bought two which had been photoshopped which turned out to have problems (one cleaned, one graffiti), returned them both. I'm starting to get the notion that most 90CCs being offered have problems and that most of the good ones are already slabbed.

I don't like returning coins. Too much room for mischief on the sellers' part, too much anxiety while waiting for the refund.

Raw, better date coin with poor pics on ebay. Pass.
More and more, ebay is becoming a dumping ground for problem coins.

Thanks folks. What caught my eye first was the title. 1890 CC XF-45. Then the price with the seller starting the bidding at $105. Then the description of "close to AU, we believe in honest grading". Take all of things into account along with the pics, which I believe to be from a camera because when they were forwarded to me it was a Mavica file, which I think is a Sony camera.....I thought I'd just watch to see if it even gets bids.....
