Found these while noodling 20c 2008 - cannot see the date but the coin looks to be in fairly good condition? so it seems unlikely just the date has been worn, especially for only a 4 year only coin. the other is a 2006 with what I think is a die crack, but its fairly big? like the diameter of the coin, but it doesn't feel like a scratch cause it feels raised when I run my nail over it, and once again coin is in VGC. I actually have no idea when it comes to die cracks:/ thanks for the help!

The obverse could be an oil filled die or the date could have been buffed off with a bench pollisher. The rim where the date was looks worn away in comparison to the rest of the rim , the rest of it looks like a good strike. The reverse looks like a scratch, (far too shiney to be a die crack). Don't get too excited over this is my advice

joshtammi, I know you are trying to do your best at finding error coins. But the 2008 has definatly been worn away=pmd. And the 2006 is definatly PMD because it skips when it meets a high point in the coin design.

got a better pic of the 1st one, the rim seems to be fine, just not struck perfect centre, hence why from the other angle looked like the rim was worn down.

Die cracks are a raised part of the coin design because the die is becoming damaged, They normally start from a high point. Run a sharp edge over a junk coin and you will see that the mark "jumps" over the high points of the coin. I'ts all good keep looking

ahhh I think I understand, and I dont suppose it would be that big either realistically they would have noticed. did the second image of the 2008 help? or is it still definately PMD? cheers for the help.

Not so fast people I found a 2008 20c with weak date too! They are a common thing never really bother about it, think I had a rotated one two but it went back into circulation because I don't collect that stuff. If the weak date hasn't been spent from my pile to get rid off ill take a pic.
