If this were a true die break, there should be others showing a progressive die break, right? He may have gotten the error authenticated by Ken, but that doesn't come even close to justifying the BIN price. Conder101 Bedrock of the Community United States 17884 Posts	Posted 01/06/2012 11:14 am It probably is very rare, proof dies only last for about 3,000 strikes and this one was probably spotted and pulled very early, They probably also tried to do a quick search and pull any on hand before they went out. All that being true it still comes down to a "Who cares?" question. Rarity doesn't mean a high price unless there is demand as well. I don't see people beating down the doors to pay high prices for very common type errors just because they are on proof coins. About the only exception might be with proofs on clipped planchets.
