Hello,

I recently acquired a very small U.S. Liberty Dollar dated 1979. It is only about 7mm in diameter. Has anyone ever seen or heard of this before?

hmmm perhaps it could be, but I couldn't find one in the picture that matched mine exactly. Maybe tomorrow I'll try to post a couple of photos of the coin.
In any case, thanks for your reply, fuzzy.

if its a miniature dollar, it probably looks like an Eisenhower dollar

No, it definitely does not have Eisenhower on it. The obverse features a woman with long flowing hair.

I have bought these for my grandkids from a guy outside of the Denver Mint, you get in one .50 cent 2x2 holder all six coins. Mine are .01 - 1964, .05 - 1978, .10 - 1914 , .25 - 1978, .50 - 1974, 1.00 - 1972 these all measure 3/8" or 1cm
