Dear Friends,These are Nikkon Digital Camera Pictures of the 1958.I had to learn to Enlarge and Corp them.I hope, they turn out a little bit better for viewing.Trying,

Better-Pic-Of-The-1958-DDO?-New-Variety? to show the L on L,.The Chin is fatter.I held a coin of 1958 normal with this 1958.A big difference can be seen even without a regular Magnifer. In God We Trust,a whole lot fatter then a normal 1958.
I am not trying connect this 1958 with the one that everyone knows about.I am trying to suggest that this may be a New Variety. Its a Team play when it comes identification. No one person can say what these are. There are new varieties discoverd,Seldom.Example: I found a nice Penny with (D south)and Double RPM North.Just trying to give this old friend from 1958 as chance,be a Winner! Amen.

God Bless
Beck,
Kissimmee FL

images are too small to see anything.

Try setting your camera to take larger images. That way they don't need to be small as they appear in your images. Images that are macro help show more detail, but through an eye piece or better yet through a microcroscope show more details for a clearer image. But from what I can see I see nothing out of the normal on your coin. Better images might show more.

The degree of wear on the rim near the "in god we trust" indicates to me the motto is just work down and is wider. The letters are thicker at the base so as it wears down the appearance gets thicker. Imagine wearing down a cone from the top. The further down it wears the bigger the circle will get.
