Interesting!
I really like the little gold Bluenose coin. It will be a nice addition to the series.
The loon dollar would have been better without the chick in the background - it confuses the image a bit. It's probably too true to an original photo.

Seems the mint's webmaster is asleep at the switch.
I received the Impressions flyer and an insert today which has all of these coins. They just aren't available for order on the website yet.

I agree the Bluenose looks really nice, though 130$ is getting expensive for these little coins. A consequence of the price of a precious metal.

Quote:I like the new 20 for 20 coin, seems they took the image away, it's a swiming polar bear http://www.mint.ca/store/product/pr...=prod1230021 Yes. This one is really cute. The image was there yesterday, but mint took it away later. Is there any one who downloaded the swimming polar bear image yesterday?

I don't know what the image looks like, but it sounds nice. It will probably be a couple of months before we receive them based on my experience with the last one. I wonder when the next animal bullion is due?

Was the $20 for $20 coin done well? Did the artwork seem well done? Thanks for the previews.

I've liked the two so far for twenty bucks. I'm all in for more Canada specific things and emblems. If they put a politician or something equally crappy on them them I'm going to have to sue for brain damage.

I like the pink maple leaf on the silver 1-cent from the 2012 proof set!

Quote: I like the pink maple leaf on the silver 1-cent from the 2012 proof set! . Assuming you mean the Fine Silver Proof set, the leaves on the penny look copper coloured to me. Very nice looking coins but at $225 and 20,000 mintage, I'll (probably) be passing on this one. Regular proof set has a normal copper penny.

@ CC-Ottawa, I saw that set yesterday and at $ 225 that's way over priced for about 60g of silver. If the set was $ 125 instead, it would be an awesome deal. :)
@ aDk2, I agree with you. The silver & pink penny is very cute!
