there not my coins. I just thought they could be connected to these missing ones. this is what he posted, this is all from fraudbook where I posted my add. "Anyone else intersted in coins gold souverons slot of early stuff good condtion souverons are sydney minted" in an earlier post he said this. "I got a heap of old coinage they go back to early 1800s offer?" since then I have heard nothing from him, and all of his posts came from a mobile phone. when I looked at his profile it said victoria, Wangaratta to be precise. then when I seen this post, I started to wonder if this could be connected. if helpme comes back and confirms what I have asked I think I will be sharing with them the link to said exchange they can then pass it to the police that are handling the case.

If I was looking on ebay for them, I would be looking for someone who typically does not handle this sort of item. eg. they sell lots of cheap, second hand houshold goods, then suddenly have these type of coins. The 2 listings from Australian Coin, do not looks suspicious by themselves, simply because the sellers feedback indicates that they sell coins. It may be worth asking them about how they got the coins, but its probably a long shot.

Erkle, The description of "early 1800s sovereigns" does not seem to match very well with "1980s nugget coins"....

I was thinking more along the lines that they have been sold to dealers or pawn shops already, that's why you are only going to see single coins not the full sets making an appearance.
Although they did take the certificates? Seriously someone had to know what they were doing

I think Helpme should be looking in his/her own "Backyard" first before trying to enlist our help. This theft only occurred a few days ago probably during Christmas celebrations when the house is full of people. Family and friends of family. There was no mention of a break in to acquire these coins so I am lead to believe that they were taken by one of the visitors.

Thats why I love living where I live. The only house invasion I get is the odd snake in summer, Not a problem (the missus is a great shot with a shovel)
