Australian Gold Nugget Coins -- full 3 year set -- 1986, 1987 and 1988. Each set comprises 1 each year of "Welcome Stranger", "Hand of Faith", "Golden Eagle" and "Little Hero". They were a special bi-centennial issue. If anyone is offered to purchase these 12 coins, and they are without a presentation (wooden box), please be aware that there is a good chance that they have recently been stolen (December 2011) from an elderly family member. The 12 individual coins were stolen, along with the Certificate of Authenticity and Issue No. I am currently obtaining the Issue number from the Perth Mint and will be able to also provide this once it is known. If you know any information about these coins please contact me. Thank you for your help.

If I was you, once I found out the certification number I would also email this information to all ANDA dealers.

If it were me, I would not rely on ebay to look out for them for me. I would be searching listings myself looking for them.

victoria he/she is from, can I ask if this is all that was taken or if other coins went as well, if so could you give me a rough date of the coins? a few days back I posted an add to buy coins, I'm in central west nsw, well I had a reply from a victorian, who really should not of seen my add. let me know what area, and if it is the same area, I could pass the info onto the local police of where it happened. bit strange that he replied to my add ( I missed the first reply ) then he replied again but I have not heard from him since after 2 messages asking for more info about coins

Erkle, Where did you advertise? The ad may also have been put online where anyone could see it.

Erkle, If it was online, then the ad could have been found through a search which does not make any reference to your area. rough example: you might have advertised "Wanted: gold coins in Melbourne", or "Wanted gold coins" in a "Melbourne Coin Collectors" webpage and someone searched for "gold coins wanted"

If they replied via email there is a very good chance that they can be traced through their ISP. If this is the case send a copy of the email to the Police. If it was on facebook the same applies.
