Hey all,
I just though that I would grab some thoughts on this Half Cent, does it look cleaned?

Thanks

Inn my humble opinion, this coin looks original.

but will defer to the experts opinions - if they feel it is cleaned I hope they explain why

I am not sure if it is cleaned from those pictures but I am leaning a bit more towards cleaned than not. In some of pictures the coin looks a bit pale when it should be a nice chocolate brown.

Nice looking coin. I usually find it odd that a coin that old has so little dirt wedged inbetween letters and numbers. Appears to have been cleaned but a long time ago giving it a chance to look no cleaned.

I don't see any hairlines but the color does suggest the surfaces are not quite original. There also seems to be a touch of wear, most noticeable on the high points of the wreath.

Based on the final auction price of $137 the ebay bidders agreed it was either a cleaned Unc or a mostly original AU. It would probably look just fine in a type set.
