Not familiar with error coins besides the most popular (ie 1955 DDO, etc).

Would you consider this nickel a collar break error?

If so, what would you consider the value to be. If not, what is it?

That is a Cud, since it looks like it goes into the edge. Not much extra value added to it, but it does make it an interesting coin to keep. I would save it. Put it in a 2x2 holder for safe keeping.

The coin looks pretty worn. What year is it?

It's a 1949 Jefferson. Found while searching some rolls.
