Funny you posted this. I looked over a 38D MS66 with rainbow toning in a PCGS slab just yesterday. It was the sharpest struck buffalo I have ever seen. Tip of the horn was literally engraved into the coin and there were features in the hindquarters I didn't know existed. It totally altered my perception of the coin.

Tough coin, I am actually thinking it has some rub and in the AU-58 range, but I am probably wrong.

AU58. Obverse die is in late die state as well. Full, but flat horn. Rub on the hipbone.

I think this coin looks Uncirculated from the pictures. another nice buffalo
