Check out the submission fee $50.00 per coin with a minimum of 10 coins submitted on this page though on the form at the bottom has a $75.00 fee. Interesting. 30 days turnaround ! enough time to move to a foriegn country.

MC, it's gotta be a fly-by-night company which has already flown - I got a "server not found" window. Found it in a Google, but same thing. Guess maybe he didn't want to stick around to take the heat.

I'll try him later... probably much later in the day. Today is exam day for my ham radio students and this is gonna kill most of my day, numismatically.

the link works now, and the 30 day turnaround is about the norm for any TPG but the 50 dollars a coin with minimum of 10 coins is a little outrageous even if it were PCGS that would be high

Looks like it's a recent re-badging. The header of their "contact us" page says "NGCC Numismatic Grading Certified Company". Presumably one and the same.

Is NGCC on our list?

Their new name is "WORLD COIN grading company"... but they only grade US coins. Can we ping them for false advertising, too?

Yeah, the link is working for me now.

I did a WhoIs search on worldcoingrading.com. It's a proxy domain from GoDaddy, but now WhoIs provides the URL for the secondary owner. WCG is registered by:

World Coin Grading
5715 Will Clayton # 2056
HUMBLE, Texas 77338

At least we have a jump-off point for further investigations. It might be a legitimate attempt as a grading company, but given the history of such companies, it's guilty until proven innocent. And there ain't no way I'm gonna blow away 500 bucks to find out for myself.

I wonder what kind of drugs they are on [OO!]- now why would anyone in their right mind send $500+ to these guys when they could have the same coin graded by a more reputable company like NGC or ICG?

Here is another WCG into the coin grading buisness.
WCG (World Class Grading: : http://www.worldclassgrading.com/coin.asp Originally a sports card grading firm, they saw a chance to cash in on the 9-11 disaster among other novelties. The company slabs and "grades" coins.

O-mint coins and Prooflike are almost an oxymoron. An MS-67 PL is almost a perfect very sharp strike coin with no bag marks. So much for WCG trying to improve grading standards.
