Wow I need the experts for this one. I am sorry about the pictures but this is the best I can get. Reverse looks like another Lincoln between the 8 and 9 columns it looks like the shadow of Lincoln again. What do you think.

Hello Brenpickle, I know what you mean, I am rather new to the hobby so I am looking for help all the time. This one has me puzzled. I really hope it is something different. It really shows up on the microscope.

Just trying to clarify what you are seeing. Lincoln sits between the 6th and 7th pillar. Are you asking if that Lincoln is Doubled? Or are you asking if there is a Lincoln between the 7th and 8th Pillar? Or the 8th and 9th pillar?

I think you mean between the 8th and 9th pillar...If that is what you are refering to I would say it is a die chip IMO.

Yes your right Lincoln is not doubled itself, there is another shadow of him on the sixth and seventh pillar. Sorry for the mixup.I will change that in the intro.

The last image shows other evidence of die cleaning also. Bay 7 shows line in an opposite direction and bay 11 show another raised area. I feel these are not devices hubbed. Just gas bubbles and our minds playing tricks with us. The size of the anomoly we think we see is to narrow to be a statue. There is also another raised area above the there. So I feel it is just our imaginations playing tricks on us. If it were a statue it would be stronger. The bars on the 6 & 7th columns are stronger in appearance and usually seen on the 6th bay. I would keep for now, but I feel it is gus under the plating or an area on the bays that was disturbed during a cleaning/polishing. You might want to see what another might say about it? That is just what I see on your coin.

Thanks Coop, I will keep for now. Boy this stuff is really exciting and talk about our minds playing tricks on us. I also think I should cut back on the power of my microscope, that might be part of my problem. Thanks again.
