I am planning on buying capsules to put all of my coins in and have been looking at either Air Tites or Lighthouse capsules. The Lighthouse capsules are cheaper but I have never had any of them. Are they as good of quality or should I go with Air Tites? Thanks.

As far how either how the capsule works, they are both the same, if you are referring to the Direct-Fit Air-Tites versus the Lighthouse Capsules. The only difference between the two is in the outside diameter, whereas Air-Tite has four standard diameters for the most popular sizes of US coins up to the 40mm ASE and a array of storage options from single cards, albums, and boards to hold the capsules, Lighthouse capsules are the size of the interior opening, plus 6mm for the outside diameter, so they have a graduated series of sizes, and last time I checked, the only viable storage options were the trays, and a couple of specialty albums.

So the choice between the two is a matter of how you want to display your capsules. I store my Air-Tites in tubes especially made for them. If you are looking for a good source on the Internet for Air-Tites, I recommend Valley Coin at http://www.valleycoin.com. Their shipping is a modest $5.49 for an order of any size, and they are fast. The Direct Fits are 39c each, the ringed ones are 52c each. If you buy a case of 250, it is even cheaper. The cheapest I've ever found the Lighthouse Capsules is $4.50 for a box of 10. Hope this explanation helps.

Thanks, that helps a lot. For storage I am making my own display trays so that is not a real concern for me. Thanks for the link, I will definately be buying from them at those prices.
