I bet if I went to the bank here in WA and got $100 worth of $1 coins I would have a mass of chogem's

I think you should get some and sell them to roo, poor old mate's still waiting for the previous years so I think you should do it

You know I only have a bit over 5000k to your place so I'd watch it if I was you

I am in Tasmania. I am sure it is closed to new coins. The possibility exists that the only new coins into the state come from the tourists. I have dreamt (truely) about going to Sydney on holiday just to noodle! Sad, but true.

Not sure but maybe if you speak nice to some of the members or put up a post asking if anyone is going to or from or if they know someone that is and they might be able to meet you somewhere with a bag of goodies..just a thought.

But look on the bright side..you have all the older coins that have either gone or are going here like the 72 5 cent and a few others and with even more luck they won't be as worn as the ones here

*wipes tear from eye* Thanks AusJack, Trout.

I wonder how I can find out the input of coins into the state. Might be a little tricky. Not impossible though. There might be an import list somewhere. ...I am seriously thinking about marking the coins that I noodle with a UV pen just to see if I get them back again. 500K people in total here. Like a city spread over an area the size of Scotland. Surely not many new coins are required.

Maybe I should buy a metal detector and just go for old coins rather than circulation... Sell my 1966 wavy 2s to use to pay for it and hit the beach. ...That sounds quite good actually!

I think you can put them back in the pond without too much protest. Not too pany people hanging out for them.
