I hope and at the same time don't hope that the coin comes soon.
The last $20 for $20 was not that long ago (October). We don't need a new one every two/three months. If this coin only comes out during the spring, that would be fine by me.

Just for the fun of it, lets assume that the mint will come out with a $20 circulation coin. What shall we call it? The image on the coin could influence the name of the coin (like the loon influenced the name loonie). What could the image be? Do we go old school and just use a maple leaf? Do we be stereotypical and put a hockey stick? How about the Tim Horton's logo instead? :)

A previous coin could also influence the name of the $20, as example, the two dollar coin became the toonie. Of course, one also assumes that before the $20 coins comes out, the $5 and $10 would be around for years.

I think calling the $5, $10 & $20 coins, the quintoonie/pentoonie, decoonie/decemoonie, icosaoonie/viginooine sounds ridicules so lets come up with something better. :)

oh and @SilverBug, you are welcome

Thanks for posting jpaiva83! :)

Wow the artwork is great! A swimming polar bear. The $20 for $20 series is looking to be a nice series to collect considering the cost and the artwork has been nicely done on all the coins so far. Definitely going to continue to collect this series. It has the same mintage as the Canoe which is good.

Is there a limit of 3?

Thanks again for posting jpaiva83.

Well I'm going to nitpick, the whole 20 DOLLARS might as well be printed in red flashing LED symbols, it really destroys the coin.

The polar bear is SUPER, every other element of the reverse is pure fail, even the font.

Thank you jpaiva83!

The wait seems as though it was worth it! I am very impressed with this coin and look forward to seeing one in hand! This $20 for $20 is turning out to be a great series so far!

It is probably the nicest image of a polar bear I have seen on a RCM coin. Looking at images of actual polar bears and comparing to this coin it is nicely done and all the proportions are in line with reality.

The polar bear is the only bear I haven't seen in the wild in Canada. Maybe if I can scrape enough cash together I'll make it to Hudson Bay on a canoe expedition and finally get to see some tundra (though I don't want to see a "land shark" anywhere close - those things are in a different league altogether from a grizzly or a blackie).

@commems Lots, and lots of coins make me happy. I'm also honest and I know what I like, and while I like the polar bear, the rest of the coin has no balance. it needs white space, instead that has been given over to marketing it's "20 for 20 origins"

The snide remark really isn't required.

nice coin. if the RCM can continue a nice series, it would be great. I hope that it will come out in march or April. Don't want to many per year.
