Best Way To Get Photos? - Coin Community Forum

imanangel0686 Valued Member United States 270 Posts	Posted 01/15/2007 12:29 am I have so many notes sitting in my safety deposit box and I want to be able to get pictures of them so when ever I want to look at something I don't have to go run and get them out of the box at the bank. What is the best way to get a good quality photo of them? Scanning? Camera? I was going to scan them all but then I thought about the camera, and I also didn't know if anyone had any other suggestions. Report this Post to the Staff

Although I have been collecting coins for awhile, notes are new to me. I think it depends on how much quality you are looking for in the image. I think that photos look a lot better than scans, but it is easier to scan them. Report this Post to the Staff

ChristinaM Pillar of the Community United States 547 Posts	Posted 01/15/2007 10:13 am I took a photo of one...The one thing that I noticed is that its hard to get close-up and try to get the whole bill in the picture, but that can be overcome by resizing with photo-editing software. I think that the quality of images is comprable, but its a lot easier to scan. (Sorry mine is a little blurry, I usually have it on macro mode for pics of coins) Report this Post to the Staff
