Really good job, coincollect1. My dealer is a real rip-off, he would sell that ASE for like twice it's retail (no kidding), but can get some good deals anyway. I can't see my other dealer 'till the end of April....so, until then I'm just fishing for junk silver at shops.

Best deal yet, from a family friend, a complete 1976 Montreal Olympic coin set. Bought it at under melt at $700 (melt is around $840) and is worth $1400.

Small municipality (5000 people, only about 200 English speakers) next to a city. We live about 1-2 hours away from Montreal (which is the closest source of coin shops).

The guys I buy coins from are more part time collectors and full-time dealers than real numismatists. One owns a business dealing with hunting knives and leather wallets, one sells random collectibles (the rip-offer) and ones is a collector in antiques, silver, furs, etc.

I checked all over the net for shops in our vicinity, the closest being an hour away.
