That is one of a set of 12 made for Shell Canada - Each province, and two territories. They were free with a tank of gas back in the 1970's. Made of base metal and a very very thin brass plating. (which is often worn off by either time/exposure to air, or handling)

Funny thing, I think they were the very first coins I ever collected - Thanks Dad.

nice piece for nostalgia, not too much history in the coin though (right?). Perhaps just a little bit ambitious at $5000 per token

Wow, now he's put the same medal (same pic anyway) up at $4,999... less than a day to go on the original and he has a bid for $1, which he should consider himself lucky to have.
