This seller informed me that he's attributed the coin as a type 2. The picture pretty clearly shows the islands. I'm 95% certain this is a type 1 but I thought I'd ask CCF and see what you thought.

Not only is it not a Type 2 it is a denver mint coin.

Didn't even bother looking at the obverse. Good catch. And thanks for the links, coop. Those are incredibly helpful. I was going purely from written descriptions.

I don't see in the listing where it's a Type 2. I guess he wrote you about that.
Imagine-an ebay buyer not knowing what he had! Just check out the 1970S small date cent listings. Lotsa LDs.
