Went through a jar of 1994 50c year of the family and found about 30 wide dates and the rest were narrow! lovely and most unc! I'm going to need some more sleeves at this rate.

Gee thanks Josh..I was just thinking about your 66 50's and how we didn't look for the double bar sorry but I think we done well to cover what we did in such a short time. And it was FANTASTIC to see such nice coins, I'm still And just thinking if you'd like to leave them until the mint tour and send them all together then I can feel really special for my B'day but what ever you think, I'm easy

These 1994 wide date / narrow date confuse me a bit So in the top picture is it the coin on the left which has the wide date? Is it the gap between the 9 and the 4 which makes it wider?

Is there any value to these or is it just a minor variety?

Value will depend on condition, average circulated about $1. Unc maybe as much as $10. Here is a close up picture of the dates, wide date is the top one:

I will look out for one of these now. Seeing Josh found about 50/50 hopefully I can get one fairly easily.

roughly 30% were wide date, but luckily most of mine are pristine with small bag marks:)
Maccas lists $18 for the wide in unc, they are one of the highest value circ commemorative of the 50c which to me is very surprising considering the RAM of 1991 is near impossible to find and only values at $10.

How come you have so many UNC coins in your jar?

why not, if I could keep coins like that I would as well. and at the very worst its money for a rainy day.

my dad collected every single commemorative he ever found, and we both still do.
We have maybe 13 jars at last count full of AUnc to Unc 50 and 20c coins. I think there is around $4000 worth just in face.

I hate this site. Just about everytime I get on here I end up at the bank the next day asking for coins! 5c are making me go blind though. Still working on the auto noodler and may well be able to spend a LOT of time on it soon, seeing as how I am looking for another job. Pesky Tasmanian government, unable to do maths.

I got it. I just started a few months ago so most coins I can find from 1990s are far from aUnc. But I could get some aUnc from recent years gradually. Maybe some day my son can tell his friends, 'hi, I have 100 2010 unc coins.' Then his friends will say, 'Wow, how come?' :-)
