This is a copper coin of Great Britain with George II on it. The designs of a farthing (1/4 of a penny) and a halfpenny were very similar but there are slight differences. From the looks of it I believe you have a halfpenny, to double-check that measure it, the diameter should be 28 - 30 mm. And if it's only 22 - 23 mm then I'm wrong and it's a farthing.

Thanks for the info. I did a little research and noticed on other coins like this the name is spelled georgivs? but on my coin it is spelled geogivs . Safe to assume that mine is a fake or copy. Any info would be appreciated.

Not at all, it's a perfectly genuine halfpenny with a "mint error" mis-spelling. The 1730 "GEOGIVS" error is well-recorded; do a google search for 1730 geogivs (and force it to search for geogivs rather than georgivs) and you'll find plenty of references to them. Here's one that sold on ebay in May last year.

Agreed 100%. Its regal. An error coin and not a contemporary counterfeit of the period.
