I have sent and received items from the US,Canada and the UK on many occasions.
Sometimes they can take ages 8-10 Weeks to arrive, other times they arrive within 2-3 weeks.
This is very frustrating, are there any postal or ex postal workers out there that can shed some light on this?
Has this happened to you?
Are the postal services trying to wind me up?

I find that shipping to and from Australia can be quicker than shipping a coin to the East coast of the US. There is something that happens midway in the US that can really delay shipments--I'm unsure the cause.
