I am about to place some coins that did not move on the CCF on ebay tonight, primarily the 1930 ANACS MS-63 FH, toned SLQ. I brought this up earlier about the toning, and there was mixed opinions on the "toning" that this coin has, not to my liking, but others did. Anyway, would it be best to shoot the coin straight on, or at an angle for the lighting?

Here are a couple of images that I am talking about;

Straight picture/lighting;

Slightly angled picture/lighting;

The previous owner had a terrible, far away image, and I thought that it was just the lighting casting a shadow, not the toning, and I do not want to repeat the same with a possible buyers remorse (I always offer a return policy). Would the lighting angle image be considered "deceptive"? Depending on the light angle, it does have some characteristic charm. Looking at it straight on, the details are "shadowed" by the toning.

Your thoughts, please.

Thanking you in advance!

I would say go with the straight on shot.

You get what you get,with the straight on shot you are not hiding anything from the buyer.IMHO,

...or I just take and post a few different angles...it's not like I am having to pay for them using photobucket images in the description. (A hearty "thank you" for whoever posted in a different thread on how to post larger images into an ebay description for free! )

I would rather be bombarded with images/information than skipping out on details.

You'd be short selling yourself if you didn't show the coin's good side. I agree with oih82w8 -- post many photos on photobucket and link them in your description.

Yep photobucket is great, I used to use my own website, which is my name, but that was giving away too much info to a potential theif, so I have switched to photobucket too, no issues at all.

Take a few different shots, and mention the dark toning around the head in the description just to be fair. That's what I'd do.
