First of all this only involves a couple of dollars but I'm really surprised at the seller's attitude. I bought a lot consisting of ten old Lincolns. I thought it would be nice to hand them out to my grandchildren as the coins are almost 100 years old and the kids know that I'm a collector. A couple of weeks passed and I sent a message to the seller asking about delivery. He said that I couldn't have possibly bought them because he never listed them. I see a history of him not shipping and not responding, but not often considering his volume. (tbcoins10). My response was that he should look at the ebay auction and see that he had 10 bidders and check Paypal because he has my money and I expect him to honor the transaction. Anyone ever experience anything like this? Any suggestions? Member ANA and EAC "You got to lose to know how to win". Dream On by Aerosmith

For a few dollars, I'd just file a non-receipt claim, which would be won and forget the whole thing. I've found myself leaning towards the "life's too short" end of the spectrum recently. :) I bet within 20 replies you'll have more offers of Lincolns for the grandkids than you'll know what to do with knowing members here.

Just open an Item not received case with ebay and let them handle it.

First off, send me a PM and I'll be happy to send you Lincolns for your grandkids, I'll throw in an Indian or two for your favorites (I like to cause trouble). Second it is possible his account was hijacked and he never got your money. File your claim and let it go. I'm with Onebowl, life is way too short to stress over the small stuff, and it is all small stuff.

1. wow Jfransch - great offer, and one of the reasons this community rocks.
2. I agree - item not received complaint.
Good luck.

Wait. He's denying that his auction ever existed?
I've never heard that one before.

That is a very strange situation According to his FB, he has not sold anything since July/August of 2011 and the last Neg FB was posted in February 2011.

And it also looks like he buys all his coins from "martyschmitt" 17+ pages as a buyer, 98% are all fom the same seller.

Thanks for your suggestions, advice, and offers of assistance! I'll give him another week to either ship or refund and that will get this issue to 30 days. Then I'll proceed with an Item Not Received claim.

Cipster, I agree with all of the above. Just file with ebay. Let them do the work on it.. certainly not worth the aggravation. If you want to PM me your address I will send your 10 grandbabies, 10 little Indians.

Looks like he has rolled the neg history on ebay and starting back up where he left off. I can't believe ebay hasn't booted him. Well, I guess I can....

One of the many reasons I never, ever use ebay. And as already noted you could do much, much better right here on this forum.

I chased a seller for over 3 months over a roll of so called Unsearched Wheaties. I kept getting the run around then the seller would give me one excuse after another. Claimed they shipped it and a whole bunch of other excuses. But after three months of aggravating myself, a bag arrived that was at least a quarter full of Wheaties. Even though the fake reality of no one searching through it was gone, It was at least a nice gesture to say I'm sorry. Bag was ok and did have some nice coins but the lies they kept giving me ruined any chance of consoling me. And this was only over $5. It was my very first purchase as a new collector. I guess what I'm trying to say is don't let it get to you, although the flat out denying it would kinda push me over the edge. Have you sent him a cut and paste of your pay pal account. I find this always changes tunes when I'm getting the run around, and if you think about it. You'll probably make out better being the family here on CCF are so good. And please PM me as well your address, I've got Lincolns and a few other fun coins I'd enjoy giving the grand kids. Anytime I hear of kids enjoying coins, I think of the enjoyment that they must have opening this package possibly filled with treasure.
