At first I thought maybe they made a behind-the-scenes deal with the seller to avoid fees. However, I've dealt with David Lawrence before and they are not the type to make shady deals.

Someone got a REALLY good deal, for sure!

I bet it was a listing error. I get he clicked buy it now rather than auction.

If you check the listing you will see that there is NO Bid history on this coin...

No bid history because it was listed as "buy it now". It appears that a couple dozen silver and gold commems were listed on Jan 26 between 11:06 and 11:12. In that time some had sold before the seller could end the listings. I don't think the seller will want to complete the transaction due to a listing error.

Not positive, but I think when no winner is shown it means the seller started it at $1, cancelled all bids, and ended the listing early.
