Announcing your 12 top, or favorite, coins of the 19th century!

Beginning on Saturday February 4th every one is encouraged to post a photo of one of your top 12 coins minted from 1800 to 1899!

This is open to any coin in the 1800 to 1899 date range, any denomination, any country and any condition!

I'm looking forward to seeing some new posters as well as the participants in the highly viewed 20th century thread.

Every one is to enter one coin each day to the finish on Wednesday February 15. Get your photos ready, rank them if you can and join us for twelve days of fantastic 19th century coins.

Lol, I only have like 12 1800's coins. So, I guess these guys are going to see a bunch of worn and holed old coins from me (:

Have fun everyone, unforunately I will be away from home and unable to participate until the 10th or so. I look forward to seeing what everyone posts when I return.

I really enjoyed the vast variety of coins in the 20th Century thread and think I will enjoy this more. Now, just have to pick my 12.

Mine would all be Canada Silver Dollars or United States Silver Dollars.

Four days until we start and I'm still putting together a list, so many coins so few photos. I need to ship some off to SuperDave and get some quality shots.

I misread and was thinking 1900s not 1800s ... sorry about that.

loupe and steve, you can post some of my coins , for I will have some tough choices to make. Hopefully other people will post classics like a Gothic florin and Victorian rupee so I could choose something else.

First of all, I think I'll have to cut off my Schaumburg-Lippe thaler since I've already exposed it in a different thread. Although I do think it belongs in here ...

And, as with 20th century coins the order of mine will be rather random.
