So who's going this year? I'm thinking of going since I missed the last 1-2 Torex bourses. That $6 charge is what keeps me from going - it's one more coin I could have (at the very least). I used to go for silver but this year I'm gonna stick with anything that catches my eye + what I already collect.

Libertad, if you promise to come to this year's Torex, I'll not only pay your $6.00 entrance fee, I'll treat you to all you can eat/drink at your favourite watering hole!

Can't really say as I do not follow all that closely anymore - the old Torex Sales managed by Jeffrey Hoare and also having involvement with Warren Baker were fantastic. I agree high estimates and the whole FLAVOR of their catalouge is questionable. However I am from the United States but do have the finest cabinet of Canadian Blacksmith Tokens in the U.S.. So I can speak from experience ... it does seem that the value of these items is usually 50% of the estimates ... Dana Linett of the U.S. also uses this ploy ... print in high estimates to raise hammer values ... just my opinion. I still submit bids ... on occasion.
