After seeing the shipping prices on some of the main sites I decided to check out a local coin shop this morning (before silver dropped a little later today) that has taken really good care of me in the past.

They hooked me up with 17 uncirculated ASE for 572.00 and 4.15 face 90% for $100.

Between that and the time they spent with me and the containers for all the Eagles I was very pleased. Hopefully I should be as I have never bought them before.

Yes 33.64 is not bad at all on ASE's. Any chance you got any of the new 2012 versions, they are amazing. To compare it beside an old faded 10 year old Eagle, like comparing apples to oranges....

Nice buy! I've got my annual bonus coming the end of the month. Right now all I have is 90%, I'm hope to get some ASE's with some of the bonus money. I definitely will if I can find some at the prices you paid. Earl

Vetstudent, I've got a mix of years from what I understand and Silverhawk, I'm not sure about the 2012's yet. I'm hesitant to take them out of the tubes and handle them, although I have the gloves and have dealt with other silver like maple leafs before.

I am curious, I have a mix of some random maple leafs and philharmonics that I have put in air-tites and then into storage tubes since there was just a few of each purchased at different times. Does it make sense for me to do the same for the silver eagles or should I leave them in the tube?
Rest in Peace

If you like to look at them repeatedly, put them in holders. Otherwise, the tube is fine.

Nice buy, Ozerman. With a local shop like that, your need to buy from the on-line vendors should be considerably reduced if not eliminated completely. Those are some good prices and the service sounds real good too. Well done.
