I found two of these while roll searching. There isn't a mark on it! I don't think it's proof because I don't think it's quite "frosted" too?

Any grading and value would be appreciated :D

Maybe I'm just being a stick in the mud but it looks like it was possibly cleaned? I could be way off base but thats what I'm seeing from the photo.

I don't think it was cleaned, is there any way to know for sure?

Not the sharpest strike to me, but otherwise pristine.

If it were a proof it would have an S mint mark.I don't think it was cleaned, no need to. Awesome coin, I bet it looks even better than your photo. I think professionally graded.I bet it would come back MS67+ only because of a few rim issues and a small tick behind eye and on temple keeping it from MS69.

Really? Only MS67? Maybe I'll take a picture of the other one. Yeah these things shine and are like no other coin I've seen before!

Any idea on value? Thanks everyone!

Just my opinion but I see small issues where these stars are.
Not bad news though, I hope I have underestimated the grade but even if I am right on, check out the values on this page for the 1976 half in MS67!
Numismedia
It might pay to get it graded but then I am not sure if they deduct for the late die state and the filled die areas leaving missing details.
Such as ... the bottom of the 7 on obverse and designer initials and the pillar on the left side under the dome on the reverse.

Oh wow, I didn't realize it would go for that much in MS67. I can try to take even better pictures and make sure all hair and dust are off. This was the first time using this new camera I got, still trying to use it.

So it would be worth that if I got it slabbed you think? What if I didn't slab it, how much do you think (rough estimate) someone might purchase this for?

Careful getting dust off!
You better be careful!

Anyways, your picture is great, if you can do better, go for it. You take much better images than I ever do.
Maybe a bit lighter images. I also have no idea what they really would sell for. None at all either slabbed or raw.

It looks to me like it's been plated.

I don't' think it's plated or anything after mint, it looks very sharp and bright. What does "raw" mean?

Maybe it's just the photo, but there's something strange about this coin. The details are very soft or absent, and the luster looks completely wrong - that's why I suspect it's plated. It looks like the plated half dollars I've found (and they are very common).

I would tend to agree that this has been plated. I actually spent one of these the other day for fun, it had another date counter stamped into the field 1980... lol
