I have one similar to this. Mine is from India and made of copper.

Please wait until someone more knowledgeable comes in. They are sure to identify it.

That's a fascinating coin to find on the ground!
It appears to be silver, and perhaps from an Indian princely state?
Any idea of weight? It looks hefty.

I think it's copper - probably a Mughal Empire dam or half dam

It is from the mughal period. If it weighs ~20gms, it is a dam and if ~10, then is a half dam.
