Watching the game, surfing the ebay,

http://www.ebay.com/itm/33067759981....m1423.l2649

Out of focus pics, strike one.
No returns, strike two.
Shipping cost - strike three!

I've reported it to ebay... others can do the same.

ebay needs to come up with a way to eliminate these fraudulent shipping charges. Thanks for pointing this listing out.
Rest in Peace

Well, that takes care of ebay missing out on their share, true, but it doesn't help the unsuspecting buyer who doesn't notice the ridiculously high shipping cost. Of course, we all know that it's important to check the shipping costs before bidding, but we also all know that not everybody does since most sellers charge reasonable rates.

The listing is still up. Seller "98centstore" has a $39.00 shipping charge on his 9.99 coin.
I reported it, and emailed him too: "Is that a typo?"

Fredd is right. ebay charges separate final value fees on the item AND the shipping. As buyers it's our responsibility to look at the entire picture versus just the item price or falling for a "free shipping" gimmick. Even in the ebay sort function, it's listed as a choice to sort by lowest price first but it includes the item price and the shipping price. So if the seller thinks this will get his listing to the top of that search function, he is mistaken.

I saw a jewelry seller who rarely got more than $0.11 for anything, usually one cent, but huge mailing costs. No way ebay couldn't know about it, he had thousands of FB going back 9 months.
