Well, my mom has been unemployed and living with me for a short while now(has an interview tomorrow though!). Recently her backup money ran dry and she needed money for a pack of smokes so she sold me her coin collection as follows ...

1898 Barber dime
1918 Mercury dime
1918S Mercury dime
1937 Mercury dime
1943 Mercury dime
1899 Indian Head cent
1903 Indian Head cent

Most of them are great looking with the exception of the barber :( All that and I didn't have to search a single box haha!

Uh......it's your mom. I personally would have just bought her a pack of smokes. That said - I can't pass judgement on your situations, so I'll just say, I wish her well at her job interview, and hope you paid market value on the coins. And kudos to you for taking her in when in a tough spot.

Tell your mom that I quit smoking with Chantix and now I no longer throw my money away on smokes. The stuff works and she should talk to a doctor about it.

I hope she gets the job!

No need to judge ... she wanted to sell them anyways and id rather buy them myself than she takes them to a pawn shop or somewhere that would give her $1.50. A while back my grandpa took a Standing Liberty quarter to the pawn shop and they told him it wasnt worth squat and offered him a quarter for it lol She isn't really a collector at all and wanted to sell them so it was a win/win situation for both of us.
