The date of the cent, and better yet a photo would help in determining it's value.

Hi Shannise. A slight problem - Indian cents were made of copper, not gold.

Como Muddler dijo que, para ayudarte necesitamos una fecha y una fotografia.

It's likely been gold-plated in order to make it a jewelry item. You can take it to a local jewelry store and have them test it.

There's an extremely small chance that your coin could be gold. A very small number of Indian cents were struck on $2 1/2 gold planchets. The odds on your having one of those is maybe fifty-million-to-one ... like hitting the lottery! Good luck!

Possibly gold, if the Indian looks like this

Help-Me!!

smaller than a cent, but to the uninitiated they may see only the numeral 1 and the size. A stretch, but possible based on the post.
Rest in Peace

, shannise1!

If it looks like a regular Indian cent and says one cent, then it's probably gold plated, worth a dollar or two.

There are gold pieces with the Indian design, but they'll say $1 or $2.50.

weight and a picture would help.

Unfortunately, your Indian Head cent has been gold plated post-mint which destroys the collector value. Without the plating, it could have been worth $15-20.
