Yeah - you can probably get this year/mm in this condition at melt honestly. Just be patient if you're dealing with ebay. If you are trying to buy for numismatic purposes rather than stacking purposes - keep looking, that price is WAAAY too high.
Close to VG-8; I agree $26 is at least 2X fair market value. The '26-D is harder to find than the 1926 and 1926-S in low grade but still should not carry much premium.
