Hi everyone, I am brand new here, and pretty fresh to the coin collecting game so thank-you for the help. I have recently been going through all my change, and requesting some change rolls here and there and I dont know what type of error this 82 Lincoln Penny may have. It weighs 3.0 grams (my scale does measure to the tenth of a gram) so it appears to be of 95% Cu composition. I also believe that it is a large date cent, but still not sure if I am identifying those correctly yet. The obverse of the coin is obviously misaligned, with the right side being wavy/crinkled, almost has a canadian penny shape. There appears to be very faint sign of doubling on the obverse. The reverse is really interesting I think. It seems to be aligned unlike the obverse, with obvious lines from what I believe is doubling evident on the left side of the linc. memorial, in the U,E,and D of UNITED. The A,E in STATES, and most all of the lettering in ONE CENT. E.Plur.Unum is also marked a little funny. The Lincoln mem. seems to be crooked (at least the bottom portion) with a line beneath, and then the stamped lines near the left edge as mentioned before and also the right central pillar. It kind of looks like the rim near the top above the united states partial letter forms, but they might be nicks or marks in the rim. I did my best to provide a close up image of the coin, the errors are more evident with a magnifying glass. I tried to find similar error coins online but didnt have much luck. Thanks again in advance for the help, I really appreciate it.

Welcome to CCF.
Looks like a MAD (Miss Aligned Die)
They are more interesting when the devices fall over the edge of the rim. Your's is still on the planchet.

Thanks for the reply. Is is also normal for the reverse to have doubling on most of it? Its a little difficult to tell from my photo.

brndnb24:
The base of the building is MD,I think all of the building "doubling" is MD. The "U" in "UNITED" looks like PMD. I can't make out the rest so I'll repeat the request for a closer pic.
