just found 1906D half eagle in a box of coins that my mom had sent me before here passing.i have never dealt with gold coins before. one dealer told me it was worthless because it was a restrike.will post photos this PM when the wife gets home(she's giving me lessons on computer usage, I grew up using a slide rule). any help would be appreciated.is there a limit to the number of photos I can submit?

Not sure what that person ment by restrike but sounds like he ment it is not real. IF in fact it is real, there are only 320,000 minted and even in VF-20 it would be in the $450 range. Try to get some photos of that coin and post them here.
