Sorry, I can't identify it, but I'll say it's probably a Chinese token to commemorate the ancient Chinese Spade money. I'll post the pics here, as some people can't access photobucket:

At the time of the issue of this coin Republic of China had nothing to do with Taiwan. Since 1912 it governed most of the mainland China while Taiwan was in Japanese hands. Taiwan came to control of RC at the end of WW2 in 1945. After the civil war in 1949 the RC government fled to Taiwan.

What you have, gaming, is 10 cash (10 wen) 1 cent (1 fen) of the Republic of China (not Taiwan), dated year 26 of the Republic, i.e. 1937.

I guess my Krause confused me about the denomination. Still, no Taiwan.

Silly me!
Instead of waiting for someone to answer the question I dug out three Chinese dictionaries and a text book and tried to decipher the characters.

中華'國 二十.年 [read left to right]

China twenty six years

Or, as the coin shows:

年.十二 國'華中 [read right to left]

As for one fen:

cent = 分

the character for "one", which Google will NOT provide me,
is a form used on cheques to avoid forgery.
And also on old coins!

My eyes need a break now.
