I have been interested in Silver certificates lately and I searched completed listings on ebay just to know the average value of these notes and on top of the list I found this auction.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/1957-A-B-Lo...t_2492wt_698

How did no one wanted to pay $0.01 for these notes? What is wrong with them? I see the seller has a 100% rating and he is shipping free, so I just dont understand?!

I see this all the time. The seller gets an offer and pulls the auction with the comment "Item is no longer available". If you really want something, get a bid in to discourage this practice. The seller can still pull it but they may be more reluctant to do so.

As a past seller on ebay some years back, sellers do this to save on listing fees and "reserve" fees... When the bid doesn't meet the sellers expectations, he/she just cancels all bids and ends the listing...
