What I do know is that this was dug up in Wilton, England:

"Wilton is a town in Wiltshire, England. Wilton dates back to the Anglo Saxons in the 8th century AD, and by the late 9th century it was the capital of Wiltunscire, a region of the Kingdom of Wessex. It remained the administrative centre of Wiltshire until the 11th century. Wilton was of significant importance to the church, with the founding of Wilton Abbey in AD 771."

The writing appears to be the same style like what I have seen on medieval seals. On the one side it has four Fleur-de-lis joined at the center pointing outwards (maybe for north, south, east & west). The other side has three symbols in the center, left one I'm not sure what it is, middle one could be a cross, right one looks like the letter B in old English script. Token is 26.43mm, weight is 6.2 grams, not sure of the age but it looks very old.

HELP..........

It's a French jeton. The symbol in the centre is "IHS" in blackletter script, IHS being the Greco-Latin abbreviation for "Jesus". Dating from sometime in the 1400s. Example on Gillscoins.

I have a similar jeton, only in even worse condition, a corroded mess.
