Hello. Iam in posesion of what looks like a clinese coin. I believe it is gold, gold plated, or deoe in a material which resembles gold. On ome side is a depiction of the great chinese wall, surrounded by writing in european letters, written in a circle that goes around rhe coin: "The people+ s liberation army". On the other side there is a large star stretching out from center and nearly towards the edge, where chinese writing are circelling around the edge. It doesn't come sealed in plastic, or at least not when I got it... But it comes in a hinged red box which seems made for it The weight of the coin is rather heavy, 55,9 or 60 grams. (My scale is a little out of tune...)

Could someome please help me identify it, ASAP? And perhaps tell me approximately what it is worth? Pictures will follow shortly.

0oDCLXVIo0,

First, let me welcome you ()to the CCF, an easy to use abbreviation for the Coin Community Forum.

I look forward to viewing photos of both sides of the coin that you wish to identify.

Please enjoy the CCF. It's very informative.

Very few modern Chinese coins have any English written on them at all. If there is no date or denomination AND it has English then it's some sort of Commemorative coin that was not officially minted by the Chinese government.

Even a blurry picture is better then none. Show us what you have

It is always recommended to upload one's photos within CCF instead of inserting an externally-directed URL.

URLs can often loose their associated links to the pictures and consequently create an empty picture holder.

Pictures Fixed

It's not a government minted coin. It is a privately made token/medal like I assumed. I doubt it's gold or it would say so on the coin itself since it has some English on it.

China likes to have commemorative coins made every 10 years since 1927 so it's possible a private mint made this and sold it as a collectible but it doesn't exist in any books.

Hopefully someone might know a little more about it.
Rest in Peace
