I posted this in the nickel thread, but figured I would also post it here. Roll hunting yesterday, I found a War Nickel, which appears to have a lamination error. I have a couple questions. Is it in fact a lamination error? Also, does the raise the value of the coin? If so, what would YOU guess would be the value?
The lamination would be a rather nice one, although they are common on nickels...especially War Nickels. The heavy scrapes all over the lower reverse remove any numismatic value the coin might have had. It's worth silver melt.
