Can anyone give me some help with these 'ghost images' on the obverse and reverse of this 2007-P 'Idaho' Washington quarter

Looks like a die clash to me. The hammer and anvil dies came into contact with each other without a planchet in between, thereby creating obverse and reverse images on the opposing dies which in-turn imparted those images onto the following minted coins.

I can't tell from the photos, but do the images resemble any other part of the coin?

IMO - they are grease/spots. Lubricant gets on the die, causes marks/spots like these.

Looks like water/oil/grease on the field making that area affected from what I can see?

I just found the same coin! I believe it's the horse from the Wyoming quarter. Mine has the same faint impression on both sides.
