Quote: I would pull out my laptop, cue the dealer's website, go through checkout and get the final price after all the fees are added, show them the number and smile Heh heh... not that they could not do that themselves, of course. Sounds to me as if they were trying to pull a fast one but got caught with their hands in the cookie jar.

was wondering the same browsed some of his previous posts in passing and aside from using 18+ words, didn't see much else (maybe that's it?)

I recently won an auction that had a po'man's gold Pamp Suisse 100 gram silver dragon. I believe it went for just north of $120. I love the design and would definitely buy more, if I can find them at a similar price; which is, sad to say, doubtful.

Nice buy. I like the protective casing and serial numbers on the packaging. Little chance for doubt about authenticity!

@traevin wow how'd you score the 100 gram bar for $120? Awesome price!

Not bad at all 120, as the guy I get those Goldas bars from lists the 100 gram bars at 140 right now, even though his prices were way cheaper back when silver was tankin in the high 20's. And these are way nice, obviously much more artistic as the Goldas bars obviously are just nice real carded assay bullion with no art work, minus the Goldas label....

That PAMP-Suisse 100g gram bar looks terrific. Excellent addition to your silver collection. I have seen 1-oz. bars of a similar design but no 100g bars. Do you know if they have a 5-10 oz. bar in this design? That would be pretty darned cool too.

Vinny, It was in January, so silver was still under $30, I think. IMO, I actually got lucky and unlucky. Lucky because I've yet to see one go that low before or since. But I actually won two bar. One was $122, the other, $131. But when I opened the package, I was pretty disappointed to find only one bar. Worse yet, when I told the seller about it, he claimed he sent it. Because the seller sent it with delivery confirmation and insurance, ebay actually ruled against me... at first. On appeal, they made me jump through one annoying and ultimately impossible hoop. They told me I had to get an incident report from the local police, which the officer wouldn't even write out, claiming it was a civil issue and out of his jurisdiction, anyway, since it was coming from AZ and I live in OR. It felt like theft to me, or fraud. Anyway, I gave ebay the Sheriff's phone number and the rep. said, good enough, and I was refunded. Still never got the bar, though, and I can't get another for even close to the same price, hence, the unlucky part. Last one I saw is still in play and it's $170 + S&H, so I actually felt cheated in the end. Moral of the story: I learned that a buyer can never be sure he/she will get one's merchandise from an ebay auction, even if one pays for insurance, and a seller can't really protect his/her investment, even if he/she pays the extra for DC and Ins., if my case was the way ebay typically handles things. That's scary on both fronts and a major caveat.

Quote: According to the card, they only have 10gr, 1oz, and 100gr in both gold and silver. Here's the current auction I mentioned earlier. I checked that out and the bid was at $170 or almost $53 per oz. That's a significant premium but still a very nice and artistic bar. I can see having a 10g gold bar, given the price of gold and all, but 10g or about 1/3 of an oz. of silver seems a little small to me. Of course, there are lots of coins out there that have less silver than this, so there is room in this market for the smaller weight items.

EXCEPT, you could have left him a negative, as I hope you did. Even if he was mistaken an TRULY thought he sent both, for the negligence alone he would have deserved one. I have never left one, but could have an came real close, but most the times the seller made it right, as they should.....

Both those bars look great. The pamp is incredible, like a work of art!
However If it was me I would just buy stuff I can get for spot or hopefully slightly cheaper :D

I sold the 2-3 I got from a bulk order I put in on ebay a while back. Charged between $210 and $280 and was paid that by happy customers. Expensive but really stunning bars.
